We love to travel, and what is more Julie loves to plan trips. No prepackaged tour for the Holms! Some of the places I have visited include England (and Scotland) Europe (France, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Austria and the Netherlands), Puerto Rico, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, San Antonio and Dallas, TX, Philadelphia and Williamsport PA, Boston Mass and New Orleans, LA. Mexico and the Bahamas! You can find info on some of our trips below. I'll add links as I write them up.
Julie has taken some travel courses at the excellent program at Northern Virginia Community College. And, while she loves to plan our travels herself, we have an excellent helper in the person of my wonderful Travel Agents, Talula Travels.

Italy 2004, we joined a church pilgrimage group
for an 18 day trip to Italy. November 2002, Goslar Germany With friends living in Germany for at least four months, Julie manages to turn Veterans day into a 5 day weekend tript to the Harz Mountains. June-July 2001, Germany Most of the family heads to Deutschland to celebrate Patrick and Ines Hamm's wedding!
1986 Trip to Paris and London Poor and just out of school, single mother of three dares to spend a week abroad.

1989 Trip to England, Scotland, France, Germany, Holland Three weeks split between Britain and the Continent, and visiting with Mom and Dad Hamm.
September 2003, Hilton Head SC and Savannah, Georgia.
June, 2003, Outer Banks We rented a house for the Holm's 50th anniversary.
August 2002, Western North Carolina We played Timeshare Roulette and ended up with a week in Cashiers NC in August.
October, 2000, Berkeley Springs, WV Mark and Julie head for another October trip to take the waters in America's first spa town.
July, 2000 San Francisco Taking advantage of a business trip, Mark and Julie spend a long weekend in San Francisco
August, 1999 Southwest Trip For our last big vacation with the now mostly adult kids we returned again to the Grand Canyon.
1997 San Antonio Texas A long weekend to see our oldest son graduate from Basic Training, but we got to visit the city, too.
October, 1996 Motorcycle Trip to Arizona/Grand Canyon For our Anniversary, Mark and I return and do the Grand Canyon's North Rim on a Honda ST-1100. Ye Wilde Ryder helped by lending us the bike! Jim-Bo celebrates a 40th Birthday! Note that this page is under construction and all I have are pictures. Good pictures, thoug!
September, 1996 Castle tour of the Northeast 11 days on two motorcycles visiting 11 American Castles. And being pounded by a hurricane.
February, 1996 Trip to Arizona Just a teaser for the later trip, Julie gets sent to Phoenix on Business. With a three day weekend in the middle. She and Kim Day do the Grand Canyon and rock to an old Eagles' tune.
1994 Trip to Massachusetts Not there yet, try later!
1993 Trip to New Mexico We traveled with Julie's Dad back to where he had been for 3+ years in the Air Force. We see White Sands, The Olde West, Ancient Indian petroglyphs and ruins and an amazing variety of life!

1989 Trip to New Orleans, LA The trip to Europe left us broke, but we needed a romantic honeymoon. So we used our frequent flier miles and returned to "Our" city!
1987 Trip to Louisiana Julie and Mark's first trip together. We see how romantic the Big Easy can be.
January 2003, Caribbean Cruise #3 on the Norwegian Dawn.
January 2002, Caribbean Cruise #2 to the Southern/Eastern Caribbean on Norwegian Majesty
October, 2000, Bahamas Cruise First Cruise! Mark and Julie head for the Bahamas on Royal Caribbean's Sovereign of the Seas.
November, 1999 Cozumel, Mexico Mark and Julie return to the Yucatan, this time on the Island of Swallows.
1996 Trip to Yucatan Mexico This was almost the Vacation that wasn't. Julie and Katie go to the Yucatan Peninsula and combine tropical luxury with the wonder of the Mayan Ruins.
1994 Trip to Puerto Rico Julie's sister Lisa was stationed in San Juan as Caribbean correspondent for the Associated Press. We took the opportunity to get in a warm climate holiday in cold November. We do a Thanksgiving Turkey, go to the highest point in PR visit a rainforest and get great tans!
October, 2004, Two day quickie cruise on Carnival Victory.
January, 2005, Back to Royal Caribbean for another three day Bahamas Cruise, this time on Majesty of the Seas
February, 2005, If we get a timeshare, a week in the Caribbean. Virgin Islands preferred.
Sometime in the future, another trip to Germany for a Goethe institute German Course and some sightseeing
2006 Alaska For our 50th Birthdays, we want to visit the only one of the 50 states that Mark has missed!
